Day 1:Arrival-Mount Kenya

Mt._KenyaUpon arrival at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport , you are met by our representative thereafter journey north, passing near Thika, which boasts the world's third largest pineapple plantation, and Karatina colourful market the second largest open air market in Africa.

Soon you turn off on the main road and head for Mountain Lodge arriving in good time for lunch. This is a tree lodge set in a forest glade with a waterhole that attracts all sorts of wildlife during the day and night. The waterhole is floodlit and there is an underground viewing platform.
Overnight stay at Serena Mountain Lodge on a full board basis.

Day 2: Mt Kenya– Lake Nakuru

An early morning start takes you northwest as you head for Nyahururu, stopover at Thomson's Falls. Travel in a southerly direction to your next destination, the spectacular Lake Nakuru National Park. This is often coloured a shimmering flamingo pink from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores. Once in the park, there will be a  en route game drive to Sarova Lion Hill where you will have lunch.

After Lunch and relaxation enjoy an afternoon game drive. Here you have the chance to look out at some of the common species like the lesser and Greater Flamingoes, African fish Eagle, Tawny Eagle, Green Wood Hoopoes, Cliff Chat, Great White and Pink Backed Pelicans plus other intra- African Migrants, then continue to Sarova Lion Hill  as the sun sets.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara After an early morning breakfast, drive to Narok town via Mai-Mahiu  to Masai Mara Game Reserve arriving  at Mara Simba Lodge in time for Lunch. After lunch, depart for an afternoon game. The reserve is home to all the “big five” and it is also possible to observe; baboon, eland, ostrich, bat-eared fox, jackal and cheetah. The rivers abound with hippos and crocodiles. You will return at the lodge as the sun sets.
Overnight stay at Mara Simba Lodge on a full board basis.

manyattaDay 4: Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast, another morning of tracking game with your guide in this reserve which borders Tanzania's Serengeti National Park and is the annual seasonal scene of the migration of zebra and wildebeest that occurs between the two parks. Lunch at the Lodge  After lunch and relaxation enjoy an afternoon game drive.  

NB: At extra cost you may visit a local Masai village to see their nomadic lifestyle; the Masai are famous for their bravery, as they have co-existed with the animals over the years.

Day 5: Masai Mara - Nairobi

After breakfast you’ll depart the Masai Mara and head across acres of rolling wheat and barley farms to Narok, cross the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley whilst keeping an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle before heading up the rift escarpment. Arriving into Kenya’s capital Nairobi in the early afternoon. Optional Visit the former home of Karen Blixen – author of “Out of Africa”.

Now a Museum, get to explore the beautiful house and grounds at leisure before proceeding to the Giraffe Centre where the rare Rothschild giraffes are being rehabilitated before being returned to the wild. You will be able to see them at close range, even feeding them. Dinner  at the famous carnivore restaurant. Transfer to the airport for Departure.
