PB270241_2Day 1: Arrival-Nairobi

Upon arrival into Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met and transferred to Nairobi Safari Club Hotel. Afternoon for your leisure
Overnight at Nairobi Safari Club on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2: NaiPB270241_2robi - Shaba Game Reserve

After breakfast, head North  across the northernmost foothills of Mount Kenya, eventually heading north to a town known as Isiolo, the last major stop on the journey into the remote northern frontier district.

From here it's a fairly short trip to Shaba, on arrival Lunch will be served at the lodge  and the depart for an afternoon game drive returning  at the lodge as the sunsets. Shaba Game Reserve was made famous by the late Joy Adamson and her lioness Elsa and is often referred to as ‘Born Free Country’.

Day 3: Shaba Game Reserve

Early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. Mid morning, one is able to relax by the pool or terrace, overlooking the river.  After lunch there will be another game drive in the afternoon and crocodile feeding. In evening entertainment is provided by local Samburu dancers.

PB280333_2Day 4: Shaba Game Reserve – Lake Nakuru

Depart from Shaba after an early breakfast, you'll travel south through Isiolo, with a stopover at Nyahururu Thomson's fall proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park . The lake is often coloured by a shimmering flamingo pink from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores. Game drive enroute to the lodge.  Lunch and relaxation, thereafter enjoy an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge as the sun sets.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru-Masai Mara Breakfast at the lodge. Depart and proceed via Mau Narok and down the escarpment Narok town. Continue to Masai Mara National Reserve for lunch at Mara Sarova Camp.  Afternoon game drive Masai Mara is a magnificent landscape of open plains bisected by the Mara River and its tributaries, and punctuated by marshes and forests. This 650 sq kilometer reserve supports the highest density of game to be seen anywhere. During the seasonal migrations, Masai Mara is home to up to a million wildebeest and an equally impressive number of zebras that move into the area from neighboring Serengeti National Park, in Tanzania. The reserve is home to all the “big five” and it is also possible to observe; baboon, eland, ostrich, bat-eared fox, jackal and cheetah.

Day 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Full day at Masai Mara with an early morning and afternoon game drives.

giraffeDay 7: Masai Mara - Nairobi

Depart  the Masai Mara after breakfast  and head across acres of rolling wheat and barley farms to Narok, the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley whilst keeping an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle before heading up the rift escarpment. Arriving Nairobi in time for lunch Afternoon visit  the Giraffe Centre where the rare Rothschild giraffes are being rehabilitated before being returned to the wild. You will be able to see them at close range, even feeding them. Dinner  at the famous carnivore restaurant.

Transfer to the airport for Departure.
