Day 1: Arrival - Masai Mara

Early pick up from Jomo Kenyatta International airport or at a city hotel, you'll travel towards Kenya's fertile highlands and head down the Rift Escarpment.  You'll pass the impressive Longonot earth satellite station as you head across the Valley to Narok, You will also see the Masai people on the way, who live largely unaffected by modern civilization. Arriving  at your safari lodge  in time for lunch.

Later in the afternoon, you will be taken for a game drive . Masai Mara is a magnificent landscape of open plains bisected by the Mara River and its tributaries, and punctuated by marshes and forests. During the seasonal migrations, Masai Mara is home to up to a million wildebeest and an equally impressive number of zebras that move into the area from neighboring Serengeti National Park, in Tanzania. Returning to the lodge as the sun sets.
Overnight stay at Keekorok Lodge on a full board basis.

Day 2: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Enjoy the entire day in the Masai Mara with early morning game drive tracking game with your guide in this reserve, optional balloon safari(at an extra cost) and afternoon game drive. The Mara is also noted for its abundance of lions - particularly the superb black manned males.

You'll see lots of elephants here often in large herds, as well as - if you're lucky - leopard, cheetah and rhino. All of the Big Five are residents. You're sure to see the African buffalo. Get the cameras ready, stock up on film and enjoy yourselves!

NB:  At an extra cost you may visit a local Masai village to see their nomadic lifestyle; the Maasai people  are famous for their bravery, as they have co-existed with the animals over the years.

Day 3: Masai Mara-Nairobi

After breakfast, depart for Nairobi lunch at the famous Carnivore restaurant. Afternoon visit  Giraffe Centre where the rare Rothschild giraffes are being rehabilitated before being returned to the wild. You will be able to see them at close range, even feeding them. Thereafter transfer to the airport for your flight home.
